Pace Calculator

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Pace Calculator (“we”, “us”, the “site”) is a free running-pace tool at runpacecalc.com. We have tried to keep this policy short and in plain English. The short version: we don’t ask you to sign up, we don’t collect your name or email unless you choose to email us, and every calculation runs locally in your browser.

What we collect

The numbers you type into the calculator (distances, times, paces) never leave your device. They are processed by JavaScript in your browser to produce a result and are not sent to, or stored on, any server we control.

We do collect aggregate, anonymous usage data through analytics and, once the site is approved for advertising, advertising cookies — both described below.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages are popular, and roughly where visitors come from. This helps us decide what to improve. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers; the data is aggregated and not used by us to identify you personally. You can read how Google handles this data at Google’s Privacy Policy, and you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out.

Advertising & cookies (Google AdSense)

We may display ads served by Google AdSense to keep this tool free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.

Broadly, cookies on this site fall into two groups: essential cookies needed for the page to function, and non-essential analytics and advertising cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are shown a consent choice before any non-essential (analytics or advertising) cookies load, in line with Google’s Consent Mode. Until you consent, those cookies are not set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
